What is a charter?
The verb “charter” is commonly used when people talk about hiring a yacht or private jet. In the world of aviation, people talk about “chartering a flight” or “chartering a jet.” This means hiring an aircraft for a specific flight or a certain period of time.
Do I have to pay VAT on my chartered flight?
International flights are exempt from VAT. Note that this is not the case when you fly within the Netherlands.
Can I sleep comfortably during the flight?
Larger aircraft (heavy jets) have more room and often allow passengers to sleep in a cot.
Can I bring a pet on board a private jet?
One of the benefits of using a private jet is that you can bring your pets on board. If you have a dog, for example, they can sit at your side in the cabin, instead of being relegated to the cargo hold like on a scheduled flight.
How long before departure must I arrive?
We recommend arriving at the airport at least thirty minutes before departure to leave enough time for customs and baggage handling. The FBO often has a lounge where you can relax until your flight leaves.
Can I smoke on board a private jet?
The rules on smoking differ per aircraft. In most cases, smoking is allowed on board.
